Bill Pepper is a master voice teacher regarded as one of the top voice experts in Australia and the World. He served as Head of Voice Studies at the famous National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) in Sydney, Australia and has travelled the World sharing his insights and vocal principles, helping actors, performers, teachers, CEO’s and anyone who wishes to unleash the full power and richness of their voice. He has coached many of Australia’s leading performers including 4 oscar winners and current leading man Sam Worthington from the blockbuster Avatar.
For the first time Bill Pepper will be coming to Singapore to conduct a series of intensive workshops for beginners as well as advanced voice users. Bill will help you gain a deeper understanding of releasing your voice, take you through proven vocal exercises to develop your voice and also identify areas of developmental need to best assist you in reaching your vocal potential.
He will show you how to achieve a voice filled with range, colour, energy and vitality, that commands attention, illuminates ideas and stimulates the interest and imagination of the audience and listeners. With Bill Pepper’s wealth of experience and gentle guidance you will learn how to free your voice and develop a voice that is full of body, range and power that will give you an edge in every performance as well as your daily communication. 1 DAY VOICE INTENSIVE
An energetic and freeing series of exercises to FREE and OPEN the human instrument so that the VOICE becomes RICHER more FLEXIBLE and more EXPRESSIVE.
WE will explore and discover
1. RELAXING and CREATIVE BREATHING
2. RICH BODY FILLED SOUNDING
3. The DEEP SUPPORT for BREATH SOUND and EMOTION
4. Ways to achieve greater CAPACITY
5. Ways to achieve greater RANGE --How the use of changes in PITCH, PACE, and VOLUME can illuminate sense and make meaning clearer and more vivid.
6. Work on ARTICULATION----- opening up the rich feeling potential of VOWELS and the robust energy of CONSONANTS
7. Some exercises and ways to assist in bringing a text to life.
8. Conclude with a warm-up routine which would include most areas of the work undertaken today
Participants should end the day with increased awareness of how their voices work----how to warm their voices up--- and have some idea of where they now need to go to continue developing their vocal apparatus
